 Hume United Soccer Club Inc was formed in Nov 1997 under the sports branch of Broadmeadows Turkish Islamic and Cultural Centre.
It started it's first official season in year 98 competing in Amateur 3 under the Amateur Soccer federation of Victoria. The teams first ground was Upfield Secondary College's soccer oval. The year the club was formed Hume United S.C had finished second in it's league and was promoted to Amateur 2. Had competed in Amateur 2 for a year but had moved to Broadmeadows Valley Park to play. After the season ended in year 1999 we finished 4th in the league but due to being really competitive and we were rewarded to pay in Amateur 1. In year 2000, 2001 and 2002 we competed in Amateur 1 but was always up in the top five every year.
In the meantime since year 2000 to 2003, for 3 years in a row we applied to play in the then named Victorian Soccer Federation Provisional League 3. Our applications in 2000, 2001 and 2002 were all rejected. However as we were really committed and wanted to perform in higher leagues we applied again in year 2003 and this time as we were more planned we were excepted to the VSF. In the meantime our aim was to have a nice facility and ground so that we can improve.
Now we've got one of the high standard grounds in Victoria. Its Laura Douglas Reserve, King Street, Dallas, Vic, 3047 (Behind the Broadmeadows Mosque). In year 2003 when we were excepted to compete in Provisional 3, a merge happened with another State 3 club. We are now competing in Provisional 1 and have 7 Junior Teams in age groups 8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14.
